Project description

Comenius-project

The two schools work
together on a music project which consists in the printing of a CD
containing music examples of different music styles from both
countries as well as a common Christmas concert with musicians from
both schools performing together. During the whole course of the
project the pupils are supposed to exchange e-mails about different
kinds of music in both languages in order to help each other to
understand the foreign texts and to learn about the culture and music
of the other country.

The project will enable
the pupils to learn about the other culture by experiencing it
directly. The pupils will learn to work together on a common
objective. Communicating in the foreign language during the project
will enable the pupils to learn this language more quickly and
effectively.

Products that will be
worked on during the course of the project:

  • a CD with a
compilation of examples for different music styles in both
languages, in particular the songs played in the following Christmas
    concert

question each other about music taste in the other country (if
possible including an interview with a local band of the other
country); the results of this work will be shown on the blog

  • if the pupils want to
exchange ideas about any other subjects than music, the blog can
also be used to display the results

  • language learning
will be supported by the use of chats (the pupils will do exercises
    together)
